We are a family ran business consisting of Simon, Joanna and our baby girl. We feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world and wanted to create a truly memorable and special place for others to come and enjoy it too. 

Setting up our Glamping site from scratch has been a great way for us to pour our love, passion and values into every element. 

Minimising our impact on the environment has been a core value of ours, which has led us to installing solar panels at every hut, which powers the electricity during your stay. 

Supporting local businesses is really important to us and we are so lucky to have so many talented people in our region! The Primary materials for the huts are from a company in Thirsk, less than 25 miles away. The timber we have used is all supplied under 10 miles away and Our hot tubs are hand made in Sheffield - being able to source all of these items within the UK means we're supporting other UK Businesses and reduce our carbon footprint while we're at it!

The local wildlife is incredible and we have endeavoured to only improve their habitats. We have not removed any existing planting from the site and we have planted an additional 1000+ hedge plants and have plans to keep adding more planting. We have restored the grass on all our fields and intend to leave large areas unmown - reminiscent of the old hay meadows, Letting the grasses naturally seed, allowing wildflowers to bloom providing food and a sheltered microclimate for hopefully even more wildlife!

We have also chosen suppliers who have similar values to us, like Who Gives a crap for our toilet roll and tissues. They donate 50% of their profits to help build toilets and provide clean water in developing countries and their products are made from recycled and bamboo materials, reducing deforestation.

We use Miniml refillable toiletries, they are a Yorkshire based zero waste closed loop solution. They reduce plastic waste, using biodegradable and ethically sourced ingredients. They prioritize natural, plant-based ingredients that are locally sourced when possible...and smell lovely!
